About Pat
Hey there, I’m Pat! As a dietitian of almost 5 years, I’ve learned that my favorite part of the job has been connecting with so many different types of people. I’ve learned from my clients just as much as they’ve learned from me. From hospital rooms, private practice offices, and now telehealth, I’ve gained experience in weight management, intuitive eating, disordered eating, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, women’s health, and more. When I’m not working, you can find me with a book (ask me about my current read!), enjoying my newfound tolerance for running, or trying new recipes.
Approach to care
My approach to care is rooted in the following: Evidence-based/education: I love to share the science behind food and health conditions! Wondering about something you saw on social media? New diagnosis? Let’s chat about it and review the latest evidence. Co-collaboration: We will only work towards goals that you are ready to tackle. Empathy/accountability: Our sessions will always be a supportive judgement-free zone. However, I’m also here to help you grow! Expect me to kindly challenge behaviors that are getting in the way of you moving towards your goals. Intuitive eating/mindfulness: I believe that mindfulness and nutrition go hand-in-hand. It allows us to better enjoy our meals and appreciate our bodies for what they can do for us. Weight-neutral: Everyone deserves health, no matter what body they live in.
Your first session with Pat
After reviewing your medical history and other information like labs, doctor referrals, and family history, we’ll discuss your day-to-day life and how that affects not just your nutrition, but also your sleep, stress, and movement. We’ll also zoom out and discuss your long-term goals, what you want your life to look like from a health standpoint. I’d love to hear about what drives and motivates you - we’ll be leveraging this during your health journey to fuel sustainable long-term change. By the end of the session, we will collaborate on achievable goals for you to focus on for the next week. I’m truly excited to get to know you and get you started on feeling your best!
