About Wanda
Forty years in nutrition taught me that food is personal, cultural, and practical. Based in Fort Mill, South Carolina, I bring experience from clinical hospitals, community health, research and telehealth into every conversation. As an RD and LD with a PhD from Kansas State University, I focus on evidence-informed solutions that fit real lives. I love cooking, arts, traveling, and being a cat mom, so we'll blend science with practical recipes and creative problem solving as we work together.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide how I work. I ground recommendations in current research while listening to your priorities so we can choose realistic steps together. I practice weight-neutral care, focusing on behaviors and wellbeing rather than a number on the scale. We'll address the whole person, including sleep, stress, and routines, and I’ll explain the science behind suggestions so you feel confident making sustainable, long-term changes without pressure or judgment.
Your first session with Wanda
Expect a relaxed, collaborative visit where we'll review your medical history, look over any lab work or biometrics you have, and talk about your daily routines and goals. You don't need to have everything figured out beforehand. Together we'll set one or two short-term, realistic goals and identify simple actions you can start right away. My aim is a low-pressure, informative conversation that leaves you with a clear plan and supportive next steps.
