About Valari
Food and connection have guided my career. After earning an MS in Dietetics from Indiana State University I have spent 20 years as a Registered Dietitian, working in hospital clinical settings and community health programs. As an RDN and LD I translate science into practical, sustainable habits you can fit into daily life. I garden and volunteer in my spare time, and I’m eager to work with you as you find your path to health and wellness.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy belong together in my work. I ground recommendations in current research while keeping conversations warm, nonjudgmental, and focused on what you can realistically sustain. We’ll set clear, measurable steps and build accountability without making weight the sole focus, using a Health At Every Size lens. I care about the whole person, and I’ll educate you along the way so you understand the why behind each change and can make lasting decisions.
Your first session with Valari
Expect a relaxed, thorough visit where we'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring. I’ll listen to your goals, frustrations, and routines so we can identify 1 to 2 short-term, achievable goals together. This is a judgment-free space, you don’t need to have it all figured out, and we’ll leave with clear next steps and simple strategies you can try between visits.
