About Trina

After earning a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics I have spent 20 years as a Registered Dietitian working in community health and clinical settings. I spent almost 20 years working in the WIC program, where I guided pregnant women, and their infants and children up to age 5 in making healthy food choices to support their growth goals. I spent almost four years as a clinical dietitian in Western Washington across three community health centers, and those experiences shaped my focus on practical, accessible care. As an RD and LDN I prioritize warmth and patient education in every visit. Outside of work, I sing and play piano and organ, and I recharge by kayaking and snorkeling in tropical places. Bringing curiosity and a love of real life to nutrition work helps me meet people where they are.

Approach to care

Food and health are never only about numbers, they are part of a whole life. I use evidence-based guidance and translate it into clear, practical steps we can try together. I practice from a Health At Every Size perspective, focusing on behaviors and sustainable habits rather than weight. My style is empathetic and direct, educational without judgment, and rooted in the whole person, including mental and emotional wellbeing. We will set achievable actions, check what’s working, and adapt as life changes so improvements last.

Your first session with Trina

Come as you are, there’s no need to have everything figured out. In our first visit we’ll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring, and talk through your routines, wins, and frustrations. Together we’ll identify what matters most to you and establish short-term goals that feel realistic. The conversation is low-pressure and judgment-free, and you’ll leave with concrete next steps and a plan we can refine as we go.
