About Theresa

Based in Washington DC, I bring 19 years of experience as a registered dietitian after studying at Washington State University, with time spent in both clinical hospital settings and private practice. As an RD and LD who holds a CNSC credential, I combine medical knowledge with practical problem-solving. When I’m not working I’m usually running, biking, doing CrossFit or adventuring—camping, traveling, and watching food history or my favorite chefs and travel foodies on YouTube. I’m a lifelong learner who loves digging into what the research actually means for real life.

Approach to care

Evidence and curiosity guide my work, and I balance science with empathy. I prioritize clear, action-oriented steps we can try together, while keeping things judgment-free and sustainable. I focus on the whole person, looking at sleep, stress, movement and relationships with food, and I use a weight-neutral, behavior-focused lens so health is about function and wellbeing rather than a number. I also make time to educate, so you leave sessions with practical skills and confidence to keep making progress.

Your first session with Theresa

During the initial visit we’ll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics to understand the medical context, and I’ll ask questions to get to know your routines, priorities and barriers. Together we’ll establish a couple of short-term, realistic goals that fit your life. This is a low-pressure, nonjudgmental conversation, so you don’t need to have everything figured out—we’ll build a foundation for individualized, sustainable care at a pace that works for you.
