About Tara
Nutrition has always been both a science and a story to me. Over 14 years as an RD with an MS in Clinical Nutrition, I’ve worked in hospital and community health settings, translating complex research into practical steps. I enjoy walking, reading, riding horses, and spending time with family and friends. I want to help you move forward with confidence and hope in your circumstances so you can focus on what you enjoy.
Approach to care
Food and health are not one-size-fits-all, so we'll build plans grounded in current research and real life. I explain the evidence in plain language and translate it into clear, action-oriented steps aimed at sustainable habit change rather than quick fixes. You’ll find a warm, nonjudgmental, weight-neutral space where we consider mental, emotional, and physical factors. Together we'll learn, adapt, and create practical tools that fit your life.
Your first session with Tara
Expect a calm, conversational first visit where we'll review your medical history, look over any lab work or biometrics, and establish a couple of short-term goals to get started. You don't need to have everything figured out beforehand. I'll listen to your concerns, answer questions about the science behind recommendations, and we'll pick realistic steps you can try between visits. This is a judgment-free, low-pressure place to begin.
