About Shira
Food and movement have been my compass since graduate school. My training as an RD and CDN, with an MS in Nutrition and Dietetics, grew into clinical work in hospital settings where I learned to turn medical details into practical plans. Outside the clinic you'll find me hiking, cooking, or rock-climbing, and I bring that same curiosity to helping people choose foods that nourish, satisfy, and feel sustainable without a restrictive atmosphere.
Approach to care
I blend current science with a warm, nonjudgmental bedside manner, grounding recommendations in evidence while honoring your life and preferences. From a weight-neutral, health at every size perspective, we'll focus on behaviors that support whole-person wellbeing. I offer clear, action-oriented steps and education so you can understand why changes matter, build lasting habits together, and feel empowered without dieting pressure.
Your first session with Shira
Expect a relaxed, collaborative conversation where we'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics, then set short-term, realistic goals. We'll talk through routines, what feels manageable, and any barriers you face. You don't need to have it all figured out; together we'll create a few practical next steps that fit your life and help you feel more nourished and confident moving forward.
