About Sarah

Food and community have always been at the center of my life. I bring 17 years as a Registered Dietitian to every conversation, grounded in a BS in Nutritional Science from Penn State and an MS in Healthcare Policy and Management from Stony Brook. My clinical hospital background and training in health and human development and counselling shape how I problem-solve with patients. Outside of work I run a nonprofit children's organization, coach soccer, and lead a Girl Scout troop. I combine warmth, real-world solutions, and practical support so we can make lasting change together.

Approach to care

Evidence and empathy guide how I work with patients. I use current research and practical strategies to create clear, achievable steps, while honoring a Health At Every Size, weight-neutral perspective. We will focus on behaviors that build sustainable habits, not quick fixes or punishment. I listen without judgment, educate so you can make informed decisions, and address the whole person, including emotional and lifestyle factors. Together we'll set measurable, realistic actions and check progress in ways that fit your life.

Your first session with Sarah

Expect a relaxed, collaborative visit where we talk through your medical history, review any lab work or biometrics, and explore what matters most to you. You do not need to have everything figured out beforehand. Together we'll establish one or two short-term goals that feel manageable and design practical first steps you can try. I'll explain the rationale behind recommendations so you feel confident, and we'll adjust as we learn what works for you, all in a judgment-free, supportive space.
