About Sarah
Eighteen years working in school nutrition management and community nutrition shaped how I support people making real, sustainable changes. I earned my MS in Family and Consumer Sciences at Eastern Illinois University and practice as a registered dietitian, so I combine practical experience with evidence-based guidance. Outside of work you'll often find me hiking, trying a new recipe, traveling to recharge, or practicing yoga. I enjoy meeting patients where they are and getting to know the life behind the goals we set together.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide the work I do with patients. I draw on research and practical protocols while keeping our conversations warm and judgment-free, so we can focus on lasting habits rather than quick fixes. I use a weight-neutral, behavior-focused lens grounded in Health at Every Size principles, while addressing the whole person, including stress, sleep, and daily routines. Together we'll set clear, actionable steps, build skills, and focus on progress, not perfection.
Your first session with Sarah
Expect a relaxed, collaborative conversation that centers on your story and priorities. We'll review your medical history to understand context, take a deep dive into your relationship with food, and identify 1 to 3 short-term goals that feel doable. You don't need to have answers or a perfect record before we meet. We'll work together to create clear next steps, and you'll leave with practical actions and a sense of direction rather than pressure or judgment.
