About Samara
A focus on preventive wellness lead me to a career in nutrition. I have worked in many different environments as a dietitian. I worked on preventive medicine research trials. I have also worked in private practice, luxury fitness facilities, community health, and the food industry. I earned an MS in Clinical Nutrition from Rush University and a BS in Nutrition Science from the University of Texas at Austin. I have four years working as a Registered Dietitian. Outside of sessions you’ll find me hiking local trails, experimenting in the kitchen, exploring new workout classes, or enjoying a nice cup of tea.
Approach to care
I ground recommendations in current research, then translate the science into clear, practical steps we can try together. As a Registered Dietitian I offer direct, action-oriented guidance while staying compassionate and weight neutral. We’ll focus on the whole person, not just food, and I’ll teach you the why behind each change so we build sustainable habits that fit your life.
Your first session with Samara
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we get to know your health story. We’ll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have, talk through dietary preferences, and establish a couple of short-term goals that feel manageable. We’ll also discuss your longer-term vision so our next steps support lasting change. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet, just bring curiosity and honesty.
