About Salima
Helping people create realistic health habits has shaped my career. I have five years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, with a BS in Food & Nutrition from Saint Elizabeth University, and I practice as an RDN and LDN. My background spans private practice, community health, health coaching, and employee wellness, so I enjoy meeting patients at many points in their lives. Outside work you'll find me reading, journaling, or listening to music. I'm passionate about meeting people where they are and building practical steps that fit their daily life.
Approach to care
Science and compassion shape how I work. I'm grounded in evidence-based guidance, and I bring warmth and a judgment-free attitude to every visit. We'll set clear, practical actions together, focusing on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes or dieting rules. I practice through a Health At Every Size lens and look at the whole person, including emotional and lifestyle factors. I aim to educate you on the why behind changes so you can make informed choices that last.
Your first session with Salima
Expect a relaxed, collaborative conversation where we'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring. I want you to feel comfortable sharing what is realistic for your life, not judged for where you start. Together we'll establish one to two short-term goals that feel manageable and outline clear, actionable next steps. You don't need to have everything figured out before you arrive.
