About Sakita
Nutrition has been my compass for the past 22 years, shaping a career that moves between hospital wards, academic research, and community health programs. As an RD and CDCES with an MS in Nutrition from Penn State, I enjoy translating evidence into practical, patient-centered plans. I bring warmth and curiosity to every visit, and outside of work you’ll find me dancing, reading, or spending time with family. I see food as medicine and aim to help you build habits that fit your real life.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide how we work together. I ground recommendations in current research while staying warm and nonjudgmental, so we can focus on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. Our partnership is behavior-focused, addressing physical, emotional, and lifestyle factors. I give clear action steps and accountability, and I teach the whys behind recommendations so you have the knowledge to make lasting change.
Your first session with Sakita
Expect a calm, collaborative conversation where we review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have. We'll talk through your routines, barriers, and goals, then establish short-term, manageable objectives together. You don't need to have answers beforehand, just come as you are, and we'll build clear next steps without pressure.
