About Rivanna
My goal as a dietitian is to provide a judgement free zone. Our experiences with food are highly personal. I strive to provide individualized care that acknowledges cultural differences, personal experiences, and real-life barriers. I practice with an evidence-based lens in mind. I love to explore strategies to help others best meet their goals and answer their questions.
Approach to care
I ground care in current science while keeping the whole person front and center. That means we look beyond numbers and focus on sustainable habits, not quick fixes or diet culture. Together we'll use clear, practical steps informed by evidence, and I will share with you the why behind recommendations so you can make confident choices. Sessions are warm and nonjudgmental, weight-neutral and behavior-focused, and built around your life so changes last over time.
Your first session with Rivanna
You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. We'll have a low-pressure conversation where I review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring, and we’ll talk about your routines, challenges, and goals. My aim is to create a safe and curious space so we can explore your relationship with food. By the end we'll identify a couple of realistic, actionable steps to try together and decide how to move forward.
