About Melanie
Melanie is a registered dietitian based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before transitioning into nutrition, she worked in book publishing and digital sales, switching careers to follow her passion for helping others feel their best through food. She earned her master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University and completed her clinical internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City. Melanie is passionate about helping individuals build sustainable habits that make them feel good and actually fit into their real lives.
Approach to care
I take a highly personalized, realistic approach to care - while I may have some expertise in nutrition, you are the expert of your life so you dictate what you actually decide to do each week. The focus is on steady, meaningful changes, rather than overambitious overhauls that often lead to frustration or feeling stuck.
Your first session with Melanie
I’ll ask a lot of questions: I want to understand the practicalities of your everyday life and your likes and dislikes (do you want to cook or do you never want to cook?) This is key before making any recommendations. That said, by the end of our session, we'll identify a few focused next steps so you can get started right away.
