About Megan
For 14 years I've practiced nutrition across private practice, hospital and clinical settings, renal care, medical nutrition sales for adults and pediatrics, and community health. I have lived in the Houston area for 13 years, but am a Mississippi girl from the start. In the last 5 years, I have navigated my own journey to a diagnosis of POTS/Dysautonomia and the care and support for my now (late) husband, who was diagnosed with early-onset colorectal cancer at age 30. As an RDN and LDN with a BS in Nutrition/Dietetics from Delta State in Cleveland, Mississippi, and an MBA from the University of Houston, I blend clinical training with practical problem solving. I enjoy cooking, traveling, reading, playing mahjong, and golfing, and I bring that same curiosity and patience to helping patients find what works in their daily lives.
Approach to care
Food and health live inside real lives, so we'll focus on evidence-based, sustainable strategies that fit your routines and goals. I practice through a Health At Every Size lens, keeping care weight-neutral and behavior-focused, and I balance warmth with direct, action-oriented steps so progress is measurable. Together we'll learn the science behind recommendations, build practical skills, and address emotional and lifestyle factors. My aim is to empower you with knowledge and accountability, while honoring where you are today.
Your first session with Megan
In that first visit we'll review your medical history, talk through current routines and challenges, and set a couple of short-term, realistic goals together. This is a low-pressure, judgment-free conversation where you don't need answers or a perfect plan ahead of time. We'll prioritize what feels doable, agree on clear next steps, and leave you with practical actions to try, then revisit and adjust as we go so changes last.
