About Mayra
Hello, I'm Mayra! After six years working as a Registered Dietitian in hospital settings and private practice, I bring clinical training and real-world problem solving to every visit. I earned my Master of Science at New Mexico State University, and as an RDN, LD and CDCES I focus on translating evidence into practical, sustainable habits.
Approach to care
Science and compassion guide the work I do with patients. I combine evidence-based guidance with clear, actionable steps so we’ll make measurable progress without pressure. Together we’ll focus on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes, honoring the whole person, not a number on a scale. My sessions are educational and judgment-free, aimed at helping you understand the why behind changes so you can make choices that last.
Your first session with Mayra
We’ll start by reviewing your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring, then talk about what feels most important to you right now. Expect a collaborative, low-pressure conversation where we establish one or two short-term goals that are realistic for your life. You don’t need all the answers going in, just show up as you are. We’ll leave with a clear, practical plan and steps we can adjust together.
