About Marisa
Since 2021, I’ve worked with adolescents and adults in eating disorder treatment across residential, IOP, and outpatient settings. I’m currently working toward my CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) through the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). My goal is to create a space that feels supportive, real, and nonjudgmental while helping clients work toward a more steady relationship with food, body, and themselves.
Approach to care
I know starting eating disorder treatment, or even meeting with a dietitian, can feel overwhelming, uncomfortable, or scary. My approach is not just about focusing on goals or where I think you need to be. It’s about meeting you where you are and helping you work toward getting your life back in a way that feels realistic, supportive, and sustainable. Relationships with food and body can be incredibly complex, and healing does not look the same for everyone. I aim to create a space where you can move at your own pace, feel understood, and begin building a life that feels fuller and less controlled by the eating disorder.
Your first session with Marisa
The first session is really just a starting place. We’ll spend time getting to know you, what’s been going on, what feels hard right now, and what support might actually feel helpful. We may talk about your relationship with food, body image, patterns, stressors, and anything else that feels important to where you are right now. There is no expectation to have everything figured out or to be ready for every step right away. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, go at your own pace, and begin working toward a life that feels more manageable and less consumed by what's been feeling difficult around food or your body.
