About Lisa
Hi, my name is Lisa. A sketchbook, a hiking trail, and a curious palate tell you a bit about me. I've dedicated the first 5 years of my dietetics career to guiding people from all walks of life who struggle with weight (gain/loss) and chronic diseases (such as diabetes, chronic kidney disease, high cholesterol, etc.). Working in the hospital gave me insight into how nutrition can improve those who are very sick and working in private practice allowed me to gain the counseling experience. I love learning about my client's stories and participating in their health journey. I look forward to partnering with clients to help them find realistic and enjoyable ways to eat well.
Approach to care
I ground care in evidence-based guidance while keeping the work humane and practical. As an RD I listen without judgment, teach skills you can use every day, and give clear, action-oriented steps so we make measurable progress together. I follow a weight-neutral, Health At Every Size perspective, addressing the whole personâmental, emotional, and physicalâso changes are sustainable. I hope to help those from different cultures enjoy their foods as well.
Your first session with Lisa
Let me get to know you first. During our initial visit, we will review your medical/weight history, any lab work you can bring, your goals/expectations and other pertinent information to help me personalize recommendations. Then, we will translate that information into short-term, achievable goals and maybe co-create a meal plan that fits your routine. We'll make small goals and build your foundation of nutrition step by step. By the end of the session, I hope you will leave with clarity and confidence. You don't need to have it all figured out, this is a judgment-free space where we'll move forward together at a pace that works for you.
