About Laurie
After 17 years working in hospital and clinical settings, I bring practical experience and a Master of Science in Nutrition from the College of Saint Elizabeth to every patient I see in Allentown. I practice as a registered, licensed dietitian and have additional certification in weight management that informs how I approach care. Outside the clinic I'm often running half marathons, fixing up my historic farmhouse, reading or watching documentaries, and taking care of my husband and his service dog.
Approach to care
I ground my work in current science while treating the whole person, addressing mental, emotional, and physical factors that shape health. Using a weight-neutral Health At Every Size lens, we prioritize sustainable habits over quick fixes or diet culture. We'll translate evidence-based recommendations into clear, practical steps, and I'll listen with empathy while offering direct, actionable guidance so you can build lasting change.
Your first session with Laurie
We'll begin by reviewing your medical history and having a thoughtful conversation about your relationship with food, including patterns, triggers, and what supports or frustrates you. This is a judgment-free, low-pressure visit, so you don't need to have everything figured out beforehand. I'll help translate what we learn into one or two realistic short-term goals and a clear plan for our next steps together.
