About Laura
After 25 years as a Registered Dietitian, with a BS and MS in Nutrition and Food Science, I've worked across community health, hospital and outpatient settings, a bariatric program, and private practice. As a CDN I bring practical, measurable strategies to everyday life. Outside work you'll find me walking, exercising, experimenting in the kitchen, or with my nose in a book. I'm excited to partner with clients who want realistic, healthy, measurable goals and steady progress.
Approach to care
Food and health are complex, and I rely on current evidence to guide clear, practical steps that actually fit your life. I combine warm, empathetic listening with direct, action-oriented planning so we can move forward together. I work from a weight-neutral Health At Every Size perspective and address the whole person, not just food. Education is central, so you'll leave sessions with skills and understanding to sustain changes long term, without pressure or judgment.
Your first session with Laura
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll take time to hear your story. We'll review your medical history together and do a deep dive into your relationship with food, habits, and routines to understand what is and isn't working. From there we'll set short-term, measurable goals and practical first steps that feel manageable. You don't need to have everything figured out, just the willingness to try and we'll build the plan together.
