About Laura
After earning a BS in Nutrition and Food Science from Hunter College, I spent three years working as a Registered Dietitian in corporate wellness and an integrative fertility practice. As an RDN I bring a coach mindset to nutrition, partnering with you to decide what your personal gold medal looks like and building evidence-supported, doable steps to get there. My other career was in restaurants, where I eventually became a general manager, so you know I'll bring curiosity, patience, deep listening, and a sense of humor as we work together towards your goals!
Approach to care
Evidence matters, and so does meeting you where you are. I combine current research and proven protocols with an empathetic, educational coaching style so we can make changes that stick. We'll focus on behaviors and quality of life rather than weight alone, using a health-at-every-size lens and a holistic view of mental, emotional, and physical factors. I offer clear, action-oriented steps, accountability, and adjustments as we learn what works for your life, together and without judgment.
Your first session with Laura
The first time we meet, I want you to feel comfortable and heard. We'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring, and I will help interpret what those numbers mean for your goals. Together we'll set a couple of short-term goals and identify a patient-determined long-term North Star to guide our work. You don't need to have everything figured out beforehand, we'll gather what matters and leave with manageable next steps and encouragement.

Hobbies
I’ve been enjoying more time on the domestic front, so both cooking and household DIY (inside and outside) have turned into hobbies—I love a challenge as well as learning something new (plus any excuse to procure a new tool, be that an air fryer or a pruning saw!). Getting back into singing, a hobby from way back.
