About Kori
Hi and welcome! I bring with me 10 years of experience as a registered dietitian, complete with an MS in Human Nutrition. My career has been shaped by hospital work, where I cover multiple types of units, but specialize in critical care and nutrition support (think tube feeding and IV nutrition!), and I have maintained my Clinical Nutrition Suport Specialist credential for over 8 years. Outside of the ICU and on the general floors, I simplify evidence into practical steps that fit real life. Cardiac, renal, diabetes, general healthful nutrition--I've covered it all! I view nutrition as one of those thousand piece puzzles--one that I love to work with the patient to solve. My goal is that you leave our sessions feeling listened to and encouraged. When I'm not working, you might find me reading, writing, playing board games, or hanging out with my cat and dog. I'm willing to share dog pictures if you are!
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide how I partner with patients. I use current research and clinical experience to create clear, actionable steps, while honoring a Health At Every Size, weight-neutral perspective. We'll focus on sustainable habits, not quick fixes. My style is curious and kind, meeting you where you are and building plans that fit your life long term. Nutrition can be overwhelming and making changes in any aspect of your life can be a big challenge, but I hope I make it less overwhelming and can assist you in putting the puzzle together, one piece at a time!
Your first session with Kori
Come as you are, and we'll ease into the conversation. I will review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have, and I want to hear about any previous nutrition education you've had or strategies you've tried. Together we'll set one or two short-term goals that feel manageable, and I'll leave you with clear next steps. I want to emphasize that this is a judgment-free space, and you don't need to have everything figured out before we meet. It's okay to be nervous! But I hope you leave our session feeling excited for the next one.
