About Kizzy
I've spent 25 years as a Registered Dietitian, with a BS in Dietetics from Louisiana State University, and I practice locally in Baton Rouge as an RDN and LDN. My career has taken me through clinical and hospital care, private practice, corporate wellness, community health, and foodservice, so I bring practical, real-world strategies to every conversation. I love writing and teaching, and I recharge by reading, cooking, traveling, learning new things, and exploring historical sites. Those interests keep my counseling creative, grounded, and focused on habits that actually fit your life.
Approach to care
Evidence and compassion guide how I work. I use current research and proven protocols to inform recommendations while honoring your lived experience through a Health At Every Size, weight-neutral lens. We'll focus on clear, action-oriented steps that build sustainable habits rather than chasing quick fixes. I take a holistic view of health, integrating emotional and lifestyle factors, and I teach practical skills so you feel confident making choices that support your goals over the long term.
Your first session with Kizzy
I want the first visit to feel low-pressure and collaborative. We'll review your medical history, talk through routines, wins, and struggles, and settle on short-term goals that feel achievable. You don't need to have everything figured out. Together we'll create practical next steps and I will share a fun, non-food memory to help us connect. By the end you'll have a clear plan we can adjust as we go, with room for questions and real-life problem solving.
