About Kenyon
As a clinical dietitian with inpatient and outpatient experience, I have experience in using medical nutrition therapy to help patients stabilize their health and work towards their goals. I live with a chronic illness, so I am aware of the work that it takes to survive and thrive when you do not feel your best. In my free time, I enjoy learning new music, going for walks, cooking flavorful meals, engaging in art and culture, and spending time with my partner.
Approach to care
I believe in treating the patient as a whole, not just the disease state or goals that one may come in with. We all have our own stories of health. Often in the health care system, we do not treat individuals but instead diseases or numbers. Each patient deserves respect and care. I work with patients to help them come up with a personalized treatment plan that works for them.
Your first session with Kenyon
In the first session, I will perform a nutrition assessment to learn what you are doing right now and what areas need some extra attention. This includes discussing lab values, favorite foods, daily schedules, and other things that affect how and what we eat. The first session is also there for me to learn more about you and your story with health and nutrition. Active listening is essential to proper care, and the first session is important to listen to where you are at.
