About Katie

Across 32 years as a registered dietitian I've worked in clinical and hospital settings, community health, sports nutrition, and specialty programs including dialysis, oncology, cardiac rehab, the Diabetes Prevention Program and Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support. I earned a BS in Dietetics from Ohio State University and an MS in Nutrition from Central Michigan University, and I practice as an RD and CDCES. When I'm not working I love trail running, hiking, fly fishing, camping, baking sourdough and volunteering. I take a non-biased approach where all foods fit and we focus on realistic, lasting changes together.

Approach to care

We create an approachable environment to discuss barriers to your nutrition, formulate interventions and goals. I center recommendations using science-backed strategies while also teaching practical skills so you can make confident choices in your daily life and enjoy food. We'll aim for sustainable habits rather than quick fixes, using clear, direct action steps and ongoing education. We address the whole person, including mental, emotional and lifestyle factors, so changes stick long term.

Your first session with Katie

Expect a relaxed, low-pressure conversation where we'll review your medical history, lab work and biometrics to understand the whole picture. We'll set short-term, achievable goals and talk about sleep hygiene, stress levels and barriers that influence nutrition. You do not need to have it all figured out beforehand, just bring your questions. Together we'll translate information into practical, measurable steps you can try before our next visit.
