About Kati
Nutrition has been my North Star for 25 years, guiding a career that began with a BS in Nutrition/Dietetics from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I’ve worked in hospital clinical settings and an outpatient diabetes center, and I practice as a RD and CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist) while holding a LD license. I love reading, exercising, cooking and baking, exploring new places, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends. I’m passionate about the impact food can have on health, and I aim to keep nutrition realistic and simple so it fits your life.
Approach to care
I ground my work in current evidence and practical strategies, while keeping things warm and judgement-free. We’ll work together, focusing on sustainable habits and behaviors rather than short-term fixes. I use a weight-neutral, holistic lens that honors your mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Education is central, so you’ll walk away with clear, actionable steps and the knowledge to make informed choices that fit your daily life.
Your first session with Kati
During our first visit we’ll take a clear but low-pressure look at your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you have. I want to learn about your relationship with food, daily routines, wins, and frustrations, so we can establish a couple of realistic short-term goals together. You don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet. We’ll leave with a simple plan that feels manageable and sets us up for steady, lasting progress.
