About Karin
Food, movement, and practical problem-solving have shaped how I work for the past 20 years. I bring an MS in Exercise and Sports Nutrition from Texas Woman's University and experience across clinical settings, private practice, sports nutrition, and telehealth. As an RD and LD I enjoy helping people learn how their bodies respond to better fueling, while honoring that everyone approaches nutrition differently. When I'm not working I love cycling, cooking, traveling, spending time with my kids and my dog, and cheering from the stands as a hockey mom.
Approach to care
Science guides the plans we build, and empathy guides the way we implement them. I use evidence-based strategies to create clear, practical steps that fit your life, and we measure progress through sustainable habits rather than quick fixes. Our work together will be weight-neutral and behavior-focused, considering your physical, mental, and emotional health. I aim to be direct when action is needed, warm when support is required, and educational so you leave sessions feeling confident and capable of making informed choices.
Your first session with Karin
We'll start by reviewing your medical history and any available lab work or biometrics, and I will ask questions to understand your routines, challenges, and goals. Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where I introduce how I work and we learn about you as a person. Together we'll set short-term, achievable goals and map out the next steps so you leave with a clear, manageable plan. You don't need to have everything figured out before we meet, just bring your curiosity and honesty.
