About Juliet

Hi! My name is Juliet and I entered the world of nutrition (involuntarily!) when I was diagnosed with dairy and wheat allergies about 20 years ago. At a young age, I had to learn to prioritize nutrition from food shopping to learning how to cook and planning ahead. There weren't many options at restaurants or fast-food at the time (I still miss a NY slice of pizza). Professionally, I have 8 years of experience as a clinical dietitian in NYC hospitals. I work on medicine and telemetry units providing medical nutrition therapy to patients with diabetes, cancer, kidney disease, and heart disease. I was born and raised in Queens, NY where I have been lucky to have been exposed to so many cuisines and cultures. Even with my allergies, I love trying new restaurants. By now, I have the best spots in Queens for aguachile, rice and beans, papaya salad, dosas, pho, and falafel.

Approach to care

I know how hard it is to keep your nutrition a priority when you need to navigate day-to-day life. I care about honoring your culture and lifestyle while we build a toolbox of routines, habits, and skills to help you reach your goals. Nutrition information (and disinformation) is abundant online. I want to help you focus on what's most important for you, your body, and your long-term health.

Your first session with Juliet

We will review your medical history, any recent lab work, and what a typical weekday and weekend of eating looks like. I'll ask about your schedule, food budget, cultural background, food values, and your health goals. This visit is intended to be collaborative, non-judgmental, and educational to start building a working relationship and begin your health journey with setting small goals.
