About Julia

With 11 years as a Nutrition Counselor, I have worked with a large variety of individual's from all walks of life! I love the problem solving aspect of my job, and I treat each client as a unique individual. You can expect some good chats, deep reflections, empathy, and even a few laughs. I would consider myself fun, passionate, and open minded, as well as evidence based and pragmatic. As an RDN, and Certified Personal Trainer, I blend evidence with practical habit changes that work for real world people. When I'm not working with patients you might find me hiking with my 2 doggo's, cooking, paddle boarding, playing guitar, or lifting weights!

Approach to care

Evidence guides what I recommend, and empathy guides how we work together! I use science based strategies while remaining warm and direct so we'll set clear, achievable steps and track progress without shaming or diet culture pressure. I practice a weight neutral, big picture approach that considers sleep, stress, activity, and life context. Education is central, so you'll gain the skills and understanding needed to make sustainable, long term changes that work for you!

Your first session with Julia

We begin with a respectful, low pressure conversation about your relationship with food rather than a cookie cutter plan. We'll dive into your history, upbringing, family dynamics, socioeconomics, and past dieting attempts to see the whole picture. Together we'll establish short term, realistic goals and a few practical first steps you can actually use, right away! Come with a pen and paper, an open mind, curiosity and honesty, and we will have a swell time!
