About Jodie
Nutrition has been both my classroom and my career for over 35 years. With a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Hunter College and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Syracuse University, I’ve worked across hospitals, private practice, corporate wellness, sports nutrition, community health, research, and destination wellness resorts. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN) based in San Diego, I take a practical, balanced approach that helps people build habits they can actually sustain in real life. Outside of work, I enjoy beach walks, hiking, yoga, recipe development, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
Approach to care
Evidence and empathy guide how I work, blending current research with real life. I listen without judgment and help you translate nutrition science into practical, doable steps, focusing on sustainable behaviors rather than numbers. I take a weight-neutral, whole-person approach that considers emotional, lifestyle, and metabolic factors. Together, we’ll set clear, realistic goals, track progress, and adjust as needed. My goal is to give you the tools and clarity to feel confident in your choices, so changes last not just for now, but long term.
Your first session with Jodie
I treat the first visit as a relaxed, conversational space where we’ll get to know your health story and what your day-to-day life really looks like. We’ll review your medical history, eating patterns, lifestyle, and your relationship with hunger and fullness. If you have labs or recent health markers, we’ll look at those together. As we talk, I’ll help you make sense of what’s going on and translate it into practical, doable changes. From there, we’ll identify realistic short-term goals and begin building a personalized, sustainable plan that fits your life. There’s no pressure or judgment, and you don’t need to have everything figured out before we meet.
