About Jesus

Food has always been a central part in my life as I was fortunate to grow up in a home where home cooked Mexican traditional dishes were a norm. Along with my passion for fitness and health my love for food then blossomed to helping others with their health and health goals through nutrition and dietetics. I earned my BS in Nutrition and Dietetics at Purdue University and then earned my MS in Nutrition Science from Ball State University. I have have spent four years practicing as a registered, licensed dietitian in both clinical hospital settings and sports nutrition. I bring a passion for helping people use foods they love to meet sustainable goals, not to erase joy. When I'm not meeting with patients, you'll often find me in the gym Olympic Weightlifting, cooking new recipes, hiking, cycling, or out for a run.

Approach to care

Guided by current research, I blend evidence-based strategies with warm, empathetic support so we can build lasting habits together. I focus on behavior-based, weight-neutral goals rather than quick fixes or diet culture. We'll work through clear, practical steps and regular check-ins, and Iโ€™ll explain the science behind recommendations so you can make informed decisions. My aim is to support the whole person, addressing mental, physical, and lifestyle factors for sustainable change.

Your first session with Jesus

Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics you bring, then translate that information into short-term, achievable goals. You don't need to have everything figured out ahead of time. Together we'll choose one or two practical steps to start, with clear rationale and simple ways to track progress. The goal is a low-pressure plan that fits your life and builds momentum.
