About Jessica
Hello, a little about me... I have been a registered dietitian for over 15 years and hold a MS in Nutrition & Dietetics with a concentration in Sports Nutrition, from Texas Tech University. Additionally, I hold a BS in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, from UT San Antonio. My career has taken me from working as a physical therapy tech and personal trainer in corporate wellness programs to more critical cases in hospitals and dialysis units. Much of my focus has been in supporting people with chronic and complex conditions like kidney disease, diabetes, cardiovascular concerns, surgical and cancer rehabilitation. I also enjoy providing sports nutrition training and helping active clients fuel performance and recovery. When I’m not working I love cooking, weight lifting, furniture restoration, time with my dogs, and getting outside to camp and fish.
Approach to care
Evidence guides the recommendations we build together, and your life determines how they actually fit. I combine up-to-date science with warm, nonjudgmental coaching so you feel heard and supported. We’ll focus on clear, practical steps you can sustain, not quick fixes or rigid rules. My care is weight-neutral and behavior-focused, addressing the whole person, including mental and lifestyle factors, while educating you so decisions become easier and changes last. As a 2x cancer survivor, I know how it feels to deal with the struggles brought on by disease and set-backs. Therefore, through experience, I understand how to guide you to meet your nutrition goals.
Your first session with Jessica
You can expect a comprehensive visit where we’ll review your medical history, look over any lab work or biometrics you have, and talk about what’s been working or holding you back. You don’t need to have everything figured out ahead of time. Together we’ll set a few short-term, achievable goals and outline practical next steps, so you leave with clarity and a plan we can refine as we go.
