About Jeanine
Food and family steered me toward nutrition long before textbooks did. I earned my BA in Food and Nutrition from CUNY Queens College and have spent 35 years practicing as a Registered Dietitian in clinical and hospital settings. I bring practical experience and a CSG credential to how I support patients. Outside of work I love baking, cooking, staying active with fitness, which all keep my approach grounded and practical.
Approach to care
Evidence and compassion guide how we'll work together. Grounded in current research, I focus on behavior change that lasts, not quick fixes or diet rules. I listen without judgment, translate science into clear, actionable steps, and support the whole person, including emotional and lifestyle factors. Together we'll set realistic priorities, build skills, and adjust plans so they actually fit your life and goals.
Your first session with Jeanine
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation in our first visit. We'll review your medical history and dig into daily routines, wins, and frustrations so we can identify a couple of short-term goals to start. You don't need to have all the answers, just come as you are. I'll help translate medical details into simple, practical steps and we'll agree on manageable actions to try before we meet again.
