About Jay
Nutrition has been my calling for 25 years, shaped by a BS/MS in Dietetics from D'Youville University and long stretches working in hospital clinical settings and private practice. I bring that mix of bedside problem solving and real-world counseling to every visit. As an RD who also holds a CPT credential, I pay attention to how movement and nutrition interact. Photography and weight lifting keep me curious and focused, and I bring that same curiosity to solving each patient's unique challenges.
Approach to care
I ground recommendations in current research while keeping the conversation human and compassionate. Evidence guides what I suggest, and we will translate that science into clear, practical steps you can actually use. I work from a weight-neutral, whole-person perspective, considering sleep, stress, activity, and emotions alongside food. Expect direct, supportive coaching that teaches sustainable habits, builds skills, and helps you make choices that last without judgment.
Your first session with Jay
We'll start with a relaxed review of your medical history, medications, and any relevant labs, then talk through your daily routines, wins, and what feels most challenging right now. I want this to be a low-pressure, judgment-free conversation, so you don't need to have everything figured out. Together we'll establish one or two short-term goals and practical next steps, so you leave with a clear, doable plan and a sense of how we'll track progress.
