About Jana
Hello! I’m a registered dietitian with experience supporting individuals in both rural and urban communities. My background includes a strong focus in nutrition support, such as tube feeding and parenteral nutrition, but my passion lies in helping people at any stage of their health journey—whether that’s managing a medical condition or simply building a more balanced relationship with food.
Approach to care
I believe in meeting you where you are. Whether you're navigating complex symptoms, training for your first marathon, or aiming to feel more energized in your daily life, my goal is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered. Your goals and values guide our work together, and I take a collaborative, compassionate approach to every session.
Your first session with Jana
Our first session is all about getting to know you. I’ll ask about your health history, lifestyle, eating habits, and most importantly—your goals and expectations for working with a dietitian. I want to understand your “why” so we can create a personalized plan that makes sense for you. By the end of the session, we’ll look to set some clear, realistic goals to guide your progress and shape our future sessions.
Education
I have a Bachelors degree in Nutrition from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Masters degree in Nutrition from Texas Tech University.
Hobbies
In my free time I like to read (mysteries), dance (taking my first tap dancing class), knit, and travel to places I’ve never been.
