About Franella
Hello there! My name is Franella. I want to help you stay out of the hospital and live a long and healthy life. I have more than 20 years of experience as a registered dietitian nutritionist. I have had the privilege of working with people managing various conditions. My passion is whole-food plant-based eating for disease management of conditions like heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and cancer. I say I am a flexitarian. That is I am mostly plant-based in my eating but sometimes I eat meat, more as a side dish or an accompaniment instead of the main course.
Approach to care
I use a whole-health approach in caring for people. Because everything in our bodies is connected in some way, I believe in looking at the whole person to include physical, mental, and emotional well-being is the way to fight for our health. With ADHD, depression, and autism diagnoses on the rise, I believe whole-health nutrition can promote both emotional and physical well-being and nourish us from the inside out.
Your first session with Franella
During our first session, we will get acquainted and talk about what is most important to you. I want to know how I can help you meet your goals. We will begin with a comprehensive nutrition assessment including a medical history and review of laboratory data. This will help build the foundation for your customized nutrition plan. I will be there to provide ongoing support along your health journey and make adjustments in your care as needed.
