About Erica

Hi, I'm glad you're here! A little about me. Nutrition shaped my career path through study and practice. For the past five years I’ve worked as a registered dietitian in both hospital and community health settings, and I bring that blend of clinical experience and community-focused care to my work in Wilmington, North Carolina. I worked closely with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds. That experience shaped how I approach care today, I always consider real-life factors like budget, food access, culture, and time when creating nutrition plans. My education background includes a Master's Degree in Dietetics, and two Bachelor's Degrees, one in Nutritional Sciences and the other in Public Health. And as a dietitian I enjoy helping patients translate science into real life. When I’m off the clock you’ll find me hiking, running, golfing, reading, or at the beach with my dogs!

Approach to care

Evidence guides my recommendations, but your life guides our plan. My approach is rooted in intuitive eating and a weight-inclusive philosophy. I combine current research with compassionate listening to create clear, practical steps we can try together. I practice from a weight-neutral perspective, focusing on behaviors, sustainable habits, and long-term change rather than quick fixes. We’ll address the whole person, including mental and emotional factors, and I’ll teach you the why behind recommendations so you can make informed choices that will lead to meeting your goals.

Your first session with Erica

Expect a relaxed, conversational visit where we'll review your medical history and take a close look at your daily routine and lifestyle. You don’t need to have the answers or a perfect food log. Together we’ll establish a few realistic short-term goals and identify small, achievable steps to get started. I’ll share evidence-based options and we’ll choose what fits your life, all in a judgment-free, supportive space.
