About Emily
8 years working as a Registered Dietitian have taught me to start with the basics and really listen. I earned a BS in Food and Nutrition from The University of Alabama, and as an RDN and LDN I’ve practiced in hospitals, community health, sports nutrition, and outpatient clinics. I support bariatric patients before and after gastric bypass, help people with diabetes, heart and kidney disease, and manage tube feeding in the home health setting. I love traveling, cooking, and hunting, and I bring that same curiosity to helping you find sustainable ways of eating that fit your life.
Approach to care
Rooting recommendations in current science gives us a clear foundation, and empathy keeps our work realistic and kind. I combine evidence-based guidance with warm, judgement-free support so we can create practical steps together. Education and clear action items help you build lasting habits instead of chasing quick fixes. I prioritize the whole person so changes stick over the long term.
Your first session with Emily
We’ll begin by reviewing your medical history and any relevant treatments so I can see the full picture. From there we’ll establish a couple of short-term, achievable goals and co-create a meal plan tailored to your preferences, schedule, and medical needs. This is a low-pressure, judgement-free visit, so you don’t need to have it all figured out. You’ll leave with clear next steps and a plan we can adjust as we go.
