About Emily
Hi, my name is Emily, and I love food so much that I didn't stop at pursuing a BS in Nutrition Science from Louisiana State University. I then continued on to complete an Associate of Culinary Arts degree at the Art Institute of Houston. I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations from children to elderly in both community and clinical settings. My time spent living and traveling abroad has also given me a more expansive knowledge of world cuisines. I am truly passionate about helping you build confidence in the kitchen and learn strategies to simplify your meal preparation while creating sustainable diet changes to achieve your health goals. I aim to be warm, curious, and down-to-earth as we figure out what fits your life.
Approach to care
I ground recommendations in current research while keeping things human and doable. We work together to build sustainable habits that respect your whole life. Sessions are educational and action-oriented, so you'll leave with clear, practical steps and the reasoning behind them. I prioritize empathy and a nonjudgmental tone, while holding space for accountability and long-term change.
Your first session with Emily
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we'll review your medical history and take a thoughtful look at your relationship with food. We'll talk about routines, frustrations, and what feels realistic for you, and together we'll set short-term goals that are specific and achievable. You don't need to have answers beforehand, just show up as you are. My goal is to help you walk away with clarity, a couple of next steps, and confidence that we can adjust the plan as needed.
