About Ellen
I believe that nutrition should be a source of strength and connection, not another thing on your "to-do" list that causes stress. Whether you are managing a lifelong medical condition or just trying to get through a stressful dinner with a picky toddler, I’m here to provide a steady hand and a clear path forward. My Expertise Over my nearly 20-year career, I’ve seen firsthand how the right nutritional approach can change a life. I have extensive experience across the lifespan in pediatrics (infant and child nutrition), diabetes (including Type 1, Type 2, gestational, and insulin pumps), neurology (including ketogenic protocols for seizure management, tube feeding management, genetics, and ALS), weight management, and general nutrition. As a registered dietitian, licensed dietitian and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), I love seeing both adult and pediatric patients!
Approach to care
I believe that food should be a source of nourishment and connection, not a source of stress. My approach bridges the gap between high-level clinical science and the reality of your daily life. Whether we are managing a complex medical diagnosis or navigating the "feeding years" of infancy, toddlerhood, and picky eating, my goal is to lead with empathy. I don’t believe in rigid, one-size-fits-all rules; instead, I focus on sustainable, realistic changes that honor your unique circumstances and health goals.
Your first session with Ellen
Expect a relaxed, collaborative visit where we get to the heart of what matters to you. We'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics, talk through routines and priorities, and identify one or two short-term goals that feel manageable. You do not need to have everything figured out beforehand. I aim to make the plan practical and reassuring, so we'll leave with clear next steps and a sense of how we'll move forward together.
