About Diane
I am a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Nutrition Scientist, and Professor with over 25 years of experience translating nutrition research into practical, real-life strategies. My background spans academia, clinical, community and sports nutrition, as well as human research in a variety of settings — meaning the guidance I provide is grounded in evidence, not trends. Outside of work you’ll find me exploring the Finger Lakes, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with my dogs, family and friends. I also love to cook, bake and try new recipes.
Approach to care
My approach is simple: all foods fit. There are no "good" foods or "bad" foods — just food. Food is fuel, and my job is to help you use that fuel in a way that works for your life, your goals, and your health. Whether you're managing a health condition, improving performance, building healthier habits, or simply figuring out where to start, my approach is evidence-based, personalized, and sustainable.
Your first session with Diane
In our first session, we focus entirely on getting to know you — your health history, your short- and long-term goals, your lifestyle, and how I can best support you. We'll have an in-depth conversation about your dietary patterns, sleep, physical activity, stress, and anything else shaping your relationship with food. From there, I'll provide evidence-based tools, tips, and strategies tailored to you — realistic ones designed for sustainable change, not quick fixes.
