About Deborah
With over 20 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, I’ve learned that lasting health is about more than knowing what to do—it’s about building the skills and confidence to do it. I earned my MS in Nutrition and Health Promotion from Simmons College and completed my dietetic training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, with a BS in Psychology from the University of Michigan. My background includes clinical care, private practice, corporate wellness, research, and service with the Navy. I’m also a Certified Personal Trainer and enjoy integrating nutrition and movement to support overall well-being. Off the clock you'll find me walking my dog with my husband and kids, unrolling a yoga mat or lifting, cooking new recipes, or listening to a health podcast.
Approach to care
I practice nutrition counseling that is both evidence-based and kind. I blend current nutrition science into simple, sustainable habits that support goals, whether that’s improving energy, getting stronger, or creating a healthier relationship with food. Each person is an individual with their own food likes and health journeys. I will work with you to translate science into actions that feel doable. My goal is to help you build lasting habits.
Your first session with Deborah
Expect a calm, judgment-free conversation where we'll review your medical history and any lab work or biometrics to get the full picture. We'll take a deep, nonjudgmental look at your relationship with food, routines, and past attempts so we can build something that actually fits your life. We will discuss sleep, routines, stress and movement to see how that fits into your life. Together we'll create a practical plan and establish short-term goals you can follow. You don't need to have it all figured out, just come as you are.
