About Colleen
Hello, I am Colleen! I bring 15 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian in clinical hospital settings and community health with a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science from Drexel University. My career journey has involved working with both pediatric and adult populations. I am passionate that food and movement shape my days, whether I'm training for a marathon, cooking in the kitchen, or exploring a new restaurant near my home in Oaklyn, New Jersey. I genuinely love helping people build sustainable habits through setting and achieving small realistic goals. I strongly believe movement is key! In my free time, I love running, hiking, traveling, or spending time with my 2 year old!
Approach to care
My approach is guided by evidence however I also feel that empathy creates the space where real change can happen. I practice through a Health At Every Size lens, focusing on all aspects of an individual's lifestyle including diet, movement, sleep, work life balance and overall wellbeing rather than a number on the scale. My care philosophy as a dietitian centers on meeting people where they are and helping them build small, realistic goals that fit into their lives. I believe that meaningful, lasting change doesnât come from strict rules or perfectionâit comes from sustainable habits developed over time. I aim to teach you the knowledge and practical tools that build confidence, reduce guilt, and support long-term, realistic change!
Your first session with Colleen
I begin with a relaxed, thorough conversation to understand your medical history, review any lab work or biometrics, and explore your relationship with food. We'll dig into what's working, what's frustrating, and what you want to change, then establish one or two short-term goals that feel achievable. This is a judgment-free, collaborative visit, so you don't need to have all the answers. Together we'll create a clear, practical plan to get you started and move at your pace.
