Patient reviews
βChrissa has truly been a breath of fresh air. I had fallen into habits of poor eating and a pretty lethargic lifestyle, but she has helped me start changing those behaviors, and it has definitely paid off. I reached my first goal weight this past week, and Iβm very excited about what the future holds. Accountability is one of the most important parts of weight loss and becoming healthier, and Chrissa does a great job of holding me accountable while supporting me along the way.β

βI have been working with Chrissa for just shy of a year now and she has been absolutely wonderful! She is attentive to my needs and has a thorugh understanding of my medical conditions/concerns and has helped me develop a method that works best for my body and nutritional goals. From providing guidance on how to fuel my body properly, to meal prep ideas and expertise in PCOS and the benefits of fasting, Chrissa is always truly dedicated to her patients and I would highly recommend her. β

About Chrissa
My nutrition journey has allowed me to gain control of my health and witness significant improvements in the health of my patients, clients, and students. As a dietitian, my work has included a range of patient needs. My clinical expertise is in treating chronic diseases: cardiovascular disease, diabetes, IBS, PCOS and others. In addition to my work here at Nourish, I am a professor of nutrition and dietetics. I teach soon-to-be dietitians and research the health benefits of strawberries.
Approach to care
First, each person has unique nutrition needs. Individuals understand best their circumstances, health needs, and preferences. The best approach to nutrition care is individual. Second, nutrition interventions are powerful. What you eat has a strong effect on how you feel and how you heal. Third, nutrition interventions affect many aspects of life. Nutrition interventions are ineffective unless families, economics, environment, and lifestyle are considered.
