About Cheryl
Food has always been my compass, guiding a 34-year career rooted in clinical and community health after earning a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University. As an RDN and CDCES working in Cleveland, I draw on hospital experience and community programs to help people build realistic, lasting habits. I'm passionate about whole foods and love experimenting in the kitchen. When I'm not meeting with patients you'll find me cycling, hiking, gardening, cooking, or planning my next trip. Together we'll explore new recipes and small activity changes that fit your life.
Approach to care
Science and compassion guide how I work with people seeking change. I translate current evidence into practical, doable steps while holding space for your lived experience, using a Health At Every Size, weight-neutral perspective. We'll focus on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes, breaking goals into clear, actionable tasks and tracking progress in a supportive, nonjudgmental way. Education and accountability are part of the plan, so you'll leave feeling empowered to make informed choices that suit your whole life.
Your first session with Cheryl
At the first visit we'll take a thorough, judgment-free look at your medical history and review any lab work or biometrics you bring, so we can see the full picture. We'll talk about what matters to you, set one or two short-term goals, and create a simple, realistic meal plan to get started. You don't need to have all the answers, just your questions and honesty. As an RDN and CDCES I'll help interpret results, and together we'll choose practical steps you can sustain between visits.
