About Carly
Food has always been my favorite way to connect with people — whether helping someone navigate their health goals, brainstorming meal ideas, or swapping recipes with a client. I earned both my BS and MS in Nutrition Sciences from West Virginia University and have six years of experience as a Registered Dietitian. I have worked in private practice, corporate wellness, sports nutrition, and community health, and currently practice as an RDN and LDN in Philadelphia. I love helping clients build sustainable habits and develop a healthier relationship with food. Outside of work, you can find me cooking, playing soccer or tennis, walking my dog, reading, or exploring new coffee shops.
Approach to care
My work is rooted in science and shaped by empathy. I use evidence-based strategies while taking a Health at Every Size, weight-neutral approach, focusing on behaviors and habits rather than numbers. Together, we’ll create clear, practical steps that feel realistic and sustainable long term. I believe in teaching the “why” behind each recommendation so you feel confident making decisions on your own. I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental environment and support the whole person, including mental, emotional, and social factors, so progress feels realistic, balanced, and lasting.
Your first session with Carly
Expect a relaxed, judgment-free conversation where we’ll complete an initial assessment. We’ll review your medical history, food preferences, lifestyle habits, and current eating routine to understand what’s already working and what feels hard. We’ll set a couple of short-term, realistic goals together so you leave with clear next steps and confidence. You don’t need to have it all figured out, I’ll meet you where you are and we’ll build sustainable habits together.
