About Cara

I had a difficult relationship with food due to struggles with body image at a young age. That struggle led me to desire to support other on their food journey to a better life. I earned a BS in Dietetics at BYU and practice as an RDN. In my two years working in clinical hospital settings and community health, I learned how to translate research into realistic plans that fit everyday life. When I'm not meeting patients, you'll find me running, in a book club, cheering BYU sports, or serving with family at church. Life is a gift, and I want to help you use nutrition to get the most out of it.

Approach to care

Food is both science and relationship. As an RDN grounded in evidence-based care, I bring warm, nonjudgmental support while giving clear, action-oriented steps we can test together. I focus on sustainable habits over quick fixes, using principles to honor your body and goals. We will explore the whole person, from sleep and stress to routines and emotions, and I will teach the why behind practical strategies so you can make informed, lasting changes.

Your first session with Cara

Expect a warm, judgment-free conversation where I'll guide us through your medical history and take a deep dive into your relationship with food. We will work together to establish short-term, realistic goals that feel doable in your life. You do not need to have all the answers before we meet. By the end you'll have clear next steps, practical strategies to try, and a plan for how we'll follow up without pressure.
