About Barbara

Nutrition has been my career and my curiosity for decades. With 46 years as a Registered Dietitian and a Master of Science in Nutrition, I've worked in hospital clinical care, built a private practice, and applied food science and regulation at Kraft Heinz. As an RD and LD, I bring evidence-based thinking to practical, person-centered care. Outside work I love pickleball, baking, walking, traveling, exercising, and time with my grandkids. I'm passionate about helping people improve their relationship with food by providing education, guidance, and steady support to build sustainable habits.

Approach to care

I ground my recommendations in current research, then translate the science into clear, doable steps we can try together. I am direct and action-oriented, focused on education and practical strategies, while keeping the space warm and nonjudgmental. I use a weight-neutral, behavior-focused lens that honors the whole person, mental and physical. We will set realistic, sustainable habits rather than chase quick fixes, and adjust plans as your life and needs change.

Your first session with Barbara

Expect a thoughtful, low-pressure visit where we review your medical history and take a deep look at your relationship with food. We'll talk about routines, wins, frustrations, and what you want to change. Together we'll establish short-term goals that feel manageable, and I'll help create a practical meal plan to get you started. You don't need to have everything figured out, we'll move at a comfortable pace and I'll provide education and support along the way.
