About Ashley

Since 2016, I've built experience across clinical, private practice, corporate wellness, and community nutrition settings, earning my MS from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and practicing as a Registered Dietitian for 3 years. My background spans roles such as a DTR at a Level 1 trauma center, bariatric and surgical nutrition support, and weight loss medication guidance. For 3 years, I also taught as a Chef Instructor, bringing culinary and nutrition education to students in schools and community programs — a role that keeps me connected to what I love most: making food approachable and meaningful for people at every stage of life. I'm based in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, where I live with my husband, stepson, pug, collie-lab mix, and our cat who rounds out the chaos nicely. When I'm not working, you'll find me trying out a new recipe, tending to my sourdough starter, reading, coloring with markers, or convincing the family to do just one more puzzle or play one more game.

Approach to care

Evidence guides the recommendations I share, and compassion shapes how we put them into practice. I work from a weight-neutral HAES framework, meeting you where you are and focusing on sustainable habits rather than short-term fixes. We’ll use clear, actionable steps grounded in current research, while also addressing sleep, stress, movement, and what food means in your life. My goal is to empower you with practical education and support, so together we build realistic routines that last.

Your first session with Ashley

Expect a calm, conversational first visit where we review your medical history and any available lab work or biometrics, then focus on short-term, realistic goals. We’ll dive into what your nutrition and physical activity look like now, along with stress and sleep, to understand your overall wellness. This is a judgment-free space, and you don’t need to have answers before we meet. We’ll leave with a clear plan and a couple of manageable next steps to try together.
