About Asha
Food and community have always been my compass. With an MPH in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Michigan and one year working as a Registered Dietitian, I've supported people in community health, sports nutrition, and research settings. As an RDN and LDN, I bring evidence-informed care that honors cultural foodways. My cultural roots inform how I center culture on a patient's plate. Outside clinic hours you'll find me boxing, lifting weights, tending my garden, or cooking for the culture.
Approach to care
I ground my work in current research while keeping the client at the center of each conversation. Using an evidence-based, Health At Every Size lens, I focus on behavior change to build a foundation on sustainable habits rather than quick fixes or hyper focusing on the number on a scale. We'll work together in a judgment-free space, translating science into clear, practical steps you can implement into your lifestyle. I prioritize education and honest feedback so you can make informed choices for your life, body, and culture.
Your first session with Asha
Expect a relaxed, collaborative conversation where we get curious about your relationship with food. We'll dig into your history, routines, and what feels hard or hopeful right now. Together we'll establish short-term goals that feel realistic, and we'll explore how your culture shows up on your plate so changes fit your life. No preparation or perfect answers required, just come as you are and we'll leave with doable next steps and a plan to build on.
